大悲咒

59. 娑婆诃

suō pó hē。

觀世音菩薩現阿那闍尊者相

Guan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion appearing as Ananda, the honored one.

佛陀的十大弟子中，阿那律尊者被尊為「天眼第一」

One of the ten students of Buddha, the enlightened one, Ananda, the honored one being honored as “Number one heavenly eye”.

譯：「娑婆訶」連接上句，即意為：無為法性自在成就。

Translation: “Suo Po He” following from the previous verse, meaning: cultivation in a natural manner (at its own pace) the Buddha nature “being at ease/unrestaint” achievement.

解说：此句是接上句，為闡揚道法宏大，道果高深，當以功德為基礎的真言。

Explaination: This verse is a continuation of the previous verse, expounding on the wide and varied method of cultivation, the profound result of cultivation, using “merit and virtue” as the foundation of cultivation.

因為無德即不能成道，菩薩為闡揚無邊道法，分身顯靈，專為成就三界十方一切有情同證佛果，而展露神通。

Because without virtue will not achieve enlightenment, Bodhisattva expounding on the limitless cultivation method, splitting the body appearing in spirit, specially for the three realm in ten directions for all sentient beings together proof/demonstate the Buddha fruit (method), revealing the magical power.

凡學道者，應以天地萬物並育之心為己心，

For all who practice the method, should by means of the heart of bringing up together all living beings in heaven and earth as the self heart. (Inner self)

以菩薩普渡眾生之願為己願，盡己所長，廣為佈施，朝夕惕勵，勤修不輟，

Using the Bodhisattva’s desire to ferry all sentient beings across as our own desire/wish, using all of one’s ability, to spread the teaching widely, respectfully urging day and night, deligently and incessantly cultivate.

最後必能超越迷悟，了然真空實相之理，達到自在無礙的妙境。

At the end will be able to transcend the confused comprehension, to understand the theory of real emptiness in “actual situation / the ultimate essence of things”, attaining the “being at ease/unrestraint” and unimpeded wonderful realm.

如此，就是成就佛的圓滿大道，不負菩薩普渡眾生的願望。

In this manner, accomplishing the perfect Buddha enlightenment, not wasting the Bodhisattva’s desire to ferry all sentient beings to cross the shore of enlightenment.

消灾免难除病魔

Dispelling disasters and difficulties, purging demons of sickness.
宝钵妙用不可说

The wonderful functions of the Jeweled Bowl are quite inexpressible.
遂心满愿施无畏

Fulfilling every wish we have, he bestows fearlessness.
揭谛揭谛娑婆诃

Gate, gate, swo pe he.
