大悲咒

1. 南无.喝囉怛那.哆囉夜耶

nā mó  • hé là dá nā  • duō là yà yē。

觀世音菩薩手持念珠相

譯：「南無」為皈依敬從的意思。

nā mó   means to convert and to venerate.

「喝囉怛那」為寶的意思。

hé là dá nā   means treasure.

「哆囉夜」為三。

duō là yà means three.

「耶」為禮。

yē means propriety.

全句連貫起來即為：皈命體敬十方無盡三寶的意思。

Altogether they means : to convert and to venerate the three treasures from the 10 direction.

解說：此句乃是菩薩希望眾生能真正的皈依大道，

Comment:  This verse represents the wish of the Buddhas for living beings to truly follow the Way/Dharma,

而得到明心見性，成就正等正覺的真言。

Realising and awakening to the inner self essence, resulting in true understanding and enlightenment.

所謂「皈依」，就是皈依佛、皈依法、皈依僧等三寶。

To convert and venerate is to follow the Buddha, follow the Dharma, and follow the Sangha which is the three treasures.

皈依佛要無思、無慮，

To follow Buddha without any doubts, reconsideration,

凝聚精神，一切信賴兩足尊

Concentrating all the consciousness, to place complete trust on the two legged sage.

（兩足動物之最高者。此處喻佛陀之崇高）；

(The highest amongst the two legged. Describing the position of the Buddha.)

皈依法，則一切以經典為準繩，不怨天，不尤人，以體會緣起緣滅之理；

To follow the Dharma, using the scriptures as the yard stick, not to blame the heaven, not to blame the human, to comprehend that the ups and downs are due to karma.

皈依僧，就是常保清淨之心，把持如如不動的本性。

To follow the Sangha (Monk), to mainatain a pure and tranquil inner self at all times, development an unmoving self nature.

這樣的虔誠修持，必能達到心體本然的妙境，獲得清淨安樂。

With such a devout way of cultivating the Dharma, will be able to achieve the return to the original self nature, obtaining a pure and tranquil peacefulness.

圜滿無礙的佛果。

A full and complete Buddha fruition which is unimpeded.

Adoration to Avalokitesvara the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who is the great compassionate one!

慈观悲观喜舍观

With a kind, compassionate regard, a regard full of joy and giving.
普度众生化大千

He rescues all beings, transforming great-thousand world systems.
有缘无缘同摄受

Gathering in those with and without prior affinities.
离苦得乐返本源

He helps to end suffering, find joy, and return to the source.
